New Year’s greetings and presentation of activities and focus 2021 in the alliance. Connecting all members for a short session to start of the new year. Opportunity to ask questions about the year’s activities, level of participation etc.

Public talks over 4 Thursdays to give insights for you and showcase the work in your city and Nordic Safe Cities. These webinars are a way to kickstart your new year with inspiration from the world on the prevention of extremism. Participation is optional.

Together with our partners in the Strong Cities Network, we have the pleasure to invite the Nordic Mayors to a very special event with the Dalai on Lama on compassionate leadership.

Afterwards we will host a digital brunch with other Nordic mayors to discuss the theme together and the collaboration in the Nordic Safe Cities Alliance. This event is only for mayors.  

Experts and researchers present learnings and status in the Nordics on the effects of Covid19 on prevention of extremism (1 year after the beginning of the pandemic).

The 10 cities in Norway meet to innovate and improve local actions and concepts together with the Gjensidige Foundation. Will be hosted either physically or digitally dependent on the options at that time.

Experts and Safe City Advisors will present the Nordic Safe Cities evaluation model and discuss how we measure and document output to improve preventative efforts in the Nordic cities. For practitioners.

Visit Aalborg and connect with politicians, practitioners, youth and organisations to share key issues, challenges and best cases. Will be hosted either physically or digitally dependent on the options at that time.

A seminar for both practitioners, politicians and mayors with a mini briefing on extremism and tendencies in the Nordic countries and how to deal with threats against politicians presented through a new research project in Norway.
