Tromsø joins Nordic Safe Cities

Tromsø becomes the 11th municipality from Norway in the Nordic Safe City alliance.
“We’re absolutely delighted that the municipality of Tromsø has chosen to become a member of the Nordic Safe Cities alliance and the Trygg by Norge collaboration.” Says Lotte Fast Carlsen, our deputy director.

More diverse and inclusive
– The municipality of Tromsø has showed great commitment in the work towards making the municipality more diverse and inclusive. Preventing hate is also high on their agenda while ensuring that their municipality is a place where everyone feel safe and welcome.
– Tromsø’s commitment to Nordic Safe Cities shows that the Northern part of Norway takes these challenges and possibilities very seriously.
– We are looking forward to working with Tromsø which we hope will reinforce the local community and elevate the feeling of safety in the many years ahead.
Nordic Safe Cities now consist of 20 cities from across Iceland, Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway.
