- Cross-country and sectorial networking and sharing of know-how and inspiration of 70+ Nordic colleagues, including practitioners, politicians, experts and civil society actors,
- Local concepts on how to stop and mitigate violence amongst the youth developed by +100 engaged young people from Kristiansand.
About the session
The 2-day Nordic Safe Cities session in Kristiansand consisted of an exclusive showcase of work and insights from Kristiansand, knowledge sharing, inspirational talks, interactive workshops, best-cases presentations, concept development and sparring on existing as well as upcoming projects and initiatives from other Nordic cities, and internationally.
At the session, issues addressed amongst others included public (arranged) street fighting, regional police cooperation and methods, promotion of hate and violence through online media, and how youth engagement can play a preventive role in promoting social inclusion for all.
