Elísabet Herdísar Brynjarsdóttir
Elísabet Herdísar Brynjarsdóttir is a Nordic Pioneers Jury member, nurse and human rights activist. In a short period of time, Elísabet has worked and been involved in various of fields that include different aspect of advocating for human rights and social justice in Iceland. As a founder of mental health awareness organization and the climate strikes in Iceland, she has found the Icelandic youth in Iceland to have a powerful voice within the society and a strong will to change it for the better and to bring more peace to the whole system. For the last years she has been dedicated for her work at the Icelandic Red Cross running a volunteer-based mobile health clinic for the homeless population in Reykjavík. In 2020, Elísabet received the Outstanding Young Icelander award for her accomplishments.
