Fanney Helgadóttir
Project Coordinator
Fanney holds a bachelor´s degree in anthropology from the University of Iceland. She is currently pursuing a master´s degree in Migration Studies in Copenhagen. Additionally, she holds a vocational degree in social pedagogy and has two-year experience working as a social pedagogue at an elementary school in Uppsala, Sweden. There she worked with youths from diverse backgrounds, helping them strengthen their self-worth and succeed in school. She views diversity as something positive since it offers people with different backgrounds great opportunities to learn from one another and grow as individuals. Her greatest interests lie therefore in promoting an equal, inclusive, and democratic society where mutual trust is gained and diversity embraced. Fanney will work on several projects, with a focus on building safe democratic societies and strengthening social cohesion across the Nordics.
