Head of Tech and Democracy

Ingvild is the Head of Tech and Democracy and leads the digital democracy efforts in Nordic Safe Cities, focusing on understanding and solving challenges related to polarisation, hate and exclusion. She also leads the Norway office, which includes 12 of the 21 member cities of the organisation.

Ingvild has extensive experience from civil society, especially in the field of gender equality, exclusion and discrimination. She has led Norway’s national LGBT organisation, worked with sexual and reproductive rights, and held positions of trust in various organisations. She has also mapped and analysed digital democracy, with themes such as elections, discrimination and exclusion.

She holds a degree in social anthropology from the University of Oslo, where she wrote her master’s thesis on inclusion and exclusion in a Norwegian suburb.
