Project Manager

Mette has a background in Middle Eastern Studies and a master’s degree in criminology where she focused on counter-terrorism and anti-radicalisation efforts. She has experience coordinating outdoor employability courses for young adults in Scotland, helping them gain confidence and life skills.

In Nordic Safe Cities, her primary concern centers on addressing the issue of online hate speech and to promote community empowerment in countering extremism through nonviolent means such as involvement and bridgebuilding, as well as devising strategies to prevent and counteract such harmful trends.
